Jan Rozman (Slovenia, 1991) is a freelance dancer, choreographer, improviser, performer and performance maker based between Ljubljana and Berlin.
He created several author works, among others Thinging, f(being), SENZASENSO, The Guillotine Decision, Bird Dementia, Invitation, Glitch, Furs Scales Feathers and performed a lot in Slovenia (Gibanica, Mladi levi, Cofestival, Ukrep, Nagib, Front@, OPUS, Plesna nacionala, Lent, Kalejdoskop, Rdeči revirji) and abroad (Open Spaces, PAF Berlin, Tanzhafen, Platforma HR, Bratislava v pohybe, Kult, KioSK, Something Raw Festival, SPHA).
Jan discovered dance as a child in a local cultural association Qulenium. He finished the Arts Gymansium – department for contemporary dance, studied choreography at SNDO, Amsterdam (AhK) in 2010/11 and obtained a masters degree at SODA, Berlin (HZT, UdK) in 2018. He is also graduated as a physiotherapist at Faculty of Health Sciences (UL), Ljubljana in 2016. He was awarded several times for his work and received multiple scholarships, including ones from the Ministry of Culture of Slovenian and DAAD Germany.
